Things have been busy. When I'm not working the 9-5 job, I'm keeping my house in order and making some pieces when the time and inspiration strike!
I recently made a baby Rag-Tag-Blanket and Rag-Diaper Bag for my friend Lisa and baby Mia! I love making these blankets and bags! They are so-so cute! Lisa had registered for some pink and brown pieces for Mia's room so, I went with those colors and some of the daisy prints on some pieces that she registered for. The final products:
The blanket measures approx. 30"x30". The bag is approx. 15"x5"x15".
I hope that Mia enjoys being wrapped up in the cuddly blanket or laying on it while playing! When she is a little older, I hope that she loves toting her "then-diaper-bag-now-overnight-bag" over to Grandma's or her Aunt's house to spend the night! :)
What have you been busy with lately?
Pearls
Over the weekend, I have made pearl earrings and a bracelet. I'm not sure how I became such a fan of pearls, as of late, but I'm really loving these pieces!
This is my "Pearl Nugget" bracelet with a hammered, heart shaped clasp. I really love this bracelet!
This set of earrings I had made with the idea of being able to pair them with my multi-chain pearl necklace (previously posted). These pearls are two different shades (it's not the just the lighting/picture).
Sterling silver chain and beads are also used to add extra shine!
Last but not least, these Pearl Drop earrings are beautiful too!!
Again, I used two different shades of pearls and you could also pair these with the Multi-chain pearl necklace too!
What is your latest trend that you are loving?
Busy, Busy!
This week I started a new (full-time) job so I won't have as much time to craft and blog but, I will try to do so on the weekends - when mood, inspiration, and time allow!
This weekend I've been working on a few pieces of jewelry - an inspiration bug must have bit me in the middle of my sleep Friday night because right when I woke up Saturday (and Sunday), I was getting into the jewelry supplies while I drank my coffee.
Last week however, I had made a couple pieces - a necklace and a blanket, that I have finally taken pictures of!
I've been making boy blankets lately and felt that I needed to see some girlie colors. So, I made up this O'so-cute blanket that I'm wishing was super-sized for myself!
I used white chenille with a pink/white polka dot fabric. I used three different prints of ribbon for the taggies and I'm very happy with how it turned out!

My other piece is a necklace, in which I was inspired by a piece that I saw and REALLY loved but I knew I could make it myself - and tweak it to make it how I really wanted it.
The weather has really cooled off yesterday and today, it has me wearing my favorite hoodie (that I haven't needed to use in months). It is making me think of cider mills, fall colors, and staying inside - making crafts with hot chocolate (or hot tea)!
What are you looking forward to right now?
